Busy EPL Fixtures Saturday; Player Fitness; Match Insights & Predictions

As we embark on this weekend’s fixtures which is what is going to be a determinant of the league table judging by how rough and unsteady it has been for some clubs in the previous couple of weeks!

Down to business, the Champions League draw is out and the Europa league too, but before we get into that, the English Premier league fixtures today with seven scheduled matches is set to be a thriller in several stadia across England.

Liverpool will not have to walk alone as they will be away to Leicester as they try to strengthen their lead. It won’t be a walk in the park for the Merseyside as Leicester have recently broken all odds by winning their last two matches back-to-back. As much as they will miss their striker- Jamie Vardy, after a strong challenge won him a red card when playing against Wolves. As for me, I’d go for a Liverpool win! Match scheduled for 1430 hours E.A.T

Brighton welcome Fulham in another fixture and with both teams hanging close on the league table at 12th and 11th consecutively. Brighton’s Glenn Murray has been on target in big games as we have seen netting a mind-blowing goal past David DeGea and won’t be a surprise if the same occurred. Not to forget Aleksandar Mitrovic recent goal glory against Burnley in their first PL win. My guess is a draw for this fixture @1700hours E.A.T

Chelsea host Bournemouth at the Stamford Bridge and with such a strong start of the season for Sarri as head coach, they are quite confident to be league leaders by end of the weekend. The blues lie 3rd on the table with Bournemouth following closely at 6th. A win for the Blues would be eminent with their fans also expecting nothing less than 3 points! Match @1700hours E.A.T.

Now to another match scheduled for 1700hours E.A.T, Crystal Palace will be playing against Southampton at home. Crystal Palace lie at 10th with one win and Southampton are close to relegation slots at 17th with one point. With their previous head-to-head matches ending in either team winning, I’d go for an Either team win in this fixture. Be sure to watch this exhilarating match.

Merseyside’s Everton host Huddersfield in another thrilling fixture and oh, the hosts miss a lot of some key players including their current top scorer- Richarlison following a red card awarded during away game against Bournemouth. All in all, previous matches depict a totally different case as they have never lost to Huddersfield. A repeat of the same with home ground advantage won’t be a surprising event lest Huddersfield break the unfavorable history. My choice, a win to Everton, match @1700hours E.A.T

Its been such a tough start for West Londoners- West Ham United with back-to-back loses in the PL, but as they host Championship Title holders, a change in momentum is expected. With a win in their midweek game @Carabao_cup against AFC Wimbledon, the tempo is rising and Wolverhampton should beware of the game. My take; West Ham Win or Draw. Match airs at 1700hours E.A.T

Now, a late kick-off at the Etihad stadium @1930hours E.A.T will see the defending champions welcome 16th placed- Newcastle United in an intense fixture. Manchester City miss key man- Kevin De Bruyne but with their other lethal midfielders, their side is still strong in any storm brewing. Newcastle’s key players- Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie are still sidelined with injuries. A win for defending champions is imminent.

With all the predictions, enjoy. Good day!
