Thierry Henry edging closer to landing Leonardo Jardim’s job after sacking

It’s been such a hard start of the season for AS Monaco with all their cards going wayward. Such a new squad of teammates with the departure of many experienced and an already developed team chemistry broken. The likes of Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, Benjamin Mendy, Bakayoko, Joao Moutinho, Bernado Silva & Fabinho leaving for other teams has left a void to fill in the Ligue 1 giants.

With 9 games into the season, they are currently placed at 18th in the ligue 1 standings. Dismal results indeed having recorded just 6 points and clutching at a straw on a point to the relegation slots. Something had to be done and that’s why Leonardo got the boot as change is inevitable.

Former gunner and Arsenal legend- Thierry Henry could be announced as the manager for the side in days to come or before the day ends. Having gained a bit of experience travelling with the Belgium side for the World Cup at Russia, a more concrete position would see him rise faster through ranks.

As we await the decision from AS Monaco, lets brace ourselves for all the glitz and glam from the Uefa Nations league that kicked off earlier this week. Not forgetting the International friendlies going on. With Belgium hosting Switzerland in Group A tonight, it’s all a matter of time.

till Tomorrow.
