With a completed transfer from Swansea, Daniel James at his new home- theatre of dreams, has been urged to use the platform on executing his maximum potential. McBurney has revealed he told James not to turn down the move to United while urging him to join the club and become a ‘superstar’.
“He was asking me what united is like and lot of things, as I know some of the boys there and I am still in contact with them. He was asking me what I thought, but his mind was already made up – 100 percent he wanted to go there,” he said.
James completed his move to Manchester United in a £25m pounds deal from Swansea signing a five-year contract with the option of extending for a further year.
Swansea striker- Oli McBurney adding: “The advice I gave him, anyway, was ‘United? You can never turn down that club. Go there and make yourself a superstar’. That is what he’s got to do and I’m sure United fans will see what he’s all about. He’s electric and the sort of boy who gets fans on their feet and a player all fans want to go to watch.”
James is the club’s first summer signing.
